BlueRay vs HDDVD
Like many I was happy to hear that Warner picked a side and went with Blue Ray. A recent Gartner research study came out and it basically says BlueRay will take over the entire market in 2008 and HDDVD will likely fail. This is great news for consumers. The only question I have is; Since HDDVD is dead, will Microsoft still insist on using the format for Xbox360 games? It’s a given that games will continue to grow in terms of data size. The current DVD limit is roughly 4.2 GB. The next generation games will have more than 4.2GB. This begs the question, Will Microsoft force us to upgrade to HDDVD or BlueRay?
